Akali James Agembe

Finance and Admin

James is a Financial expert with over 10 years work experience, mostly in management of grants. Currently he works at OGRA Foundation as Finance and Admin.Manager. He is a part time Lecturer at Maseno University and Kisii University. With OGRA Foundation, James has worked as the Group Accountant in-charge of APHIA-II Nyanza Project (USAID Funded), Direct-Relief International Project, HIV Project (Funded by PEPFAR through ICAP/CDC),Global Fund, He holds MBA(Finance),a Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) degree from Maseno University.

Rose Juma

Human Resource

Rose is one of the longest serving staff for OGRA Foundation. She holds a Bsc degree in Hotel and Institution Management from Maseno University. She started working in OGRA Foundation in 2007 and has worked in various capacities as Personal Assistant to the Executive Director, Training Assistant, Office Administrator and currently the Human Resource Assistant.

Kenneth Obiero

Executive Director

Kenneth is the Executive Director at OGRA Foundation. He holds a Masters in Community Health and Development from the Great Lakes University-Kisumu, Kenya and higher national diploma in intensive care. His interest in Community health and development is borne out of a 14-year experience in health facility-based research. He has worked as the project supervisor for Welcome Research laboratories/Kilifi hospital from 1998 to 2003, in Walter Reed Project/Nyanza provincial hospital between 2003 and 2008 and at the Centres of Disease Control and prevention (CDC)- Malaria RTSS candidate Vaccine Trail –Phase 3 clinical trials in Siaya District.

Ken has co-authored four articles in the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, Journal of Chromatography. Acta Tropica journal and Journal of international league against epilepsy and has over 30 citations regarding his research work. As a lead of the grant making core-team, he has seen OGRA receive awards from PEPFAR, Global Fund, ViiV Healthcare and Comic Relief among others. He is currently pursuing an Executive Education; Leading High –Performance Healthcare Organizations (LeHHO) at the Institute of Healthcare Management at Strathmore Business School, Strathmore University

Onguko David Amonje

Monitoring, Evaluation and Research

David has a master’s degree in Public Policy and Economic Development from the KDI School of Public Policy and Management (South Korea) and an undergraduate of Ternopil National Economic University (Ukraine) having graduated in International Economics and Enterprise. He has other certified qualifications from the World Bank and Korean Development Institute in M&E Impact Evaluation, turning promises into Evidence.

Dr Stephen O. Okello

Head of Programs

Dr Okello is the Head of Programs at OGRA Foundation. He also serves as technical advisor to all health projects at OGRA. Initially joining OGRA as a Project Officer in 2010, he has gained project management experience and overseen several projects over the past 7 years
